In the late summer of 2007 the WVU burn trailer visited New Martinsville. This state of the art burn simulator from the West Virginia University Fire Service Extension gives firefighters the opportunity to sharpen there interior firefighting skills. The trailer, purchased in May of 2007 is FireTrainer ML-1000 that uses 3 propane fueled fires to simulate actual firefighting scenarios. Many members from New Martinsville and the surrounding area took part in this training event. To enlarge a photograph below simple click on it.
